WISDOM FROM ABOVE
DO YOU RECEIVE YOUR WISDOM FROM ABOVE?
What did Christ mean when he said in (John 8:24) "for if ye believe not THAT I AM HE, ye shall die in your sins"?
Jhn 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins. ---I am he---> (Jhn 8:12) "I am [he] the light of the world". ....as God promised (1Kings 11:36; 2Chr 21:7) David and his children to be a light in Jerusalem.
Those who misinterpred Christ's sayings they do not read the whole chapter, neither do they keep all the words in the Bible, they just pick a few of verses and try to twist them with their own carnal understanding. This is also why those with carnal minds have created many religions which represent their own image and likeness. None represend God and His ways.
2Ch 21:7 Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, AND AS HE PROMISED to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.
THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
Jhn 1:7 The same came for a witness, TO BEAR WITNESS OF THE LIGHT, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 THAT WAS THE TRUE LIGHT, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
..."the Light" that comes from God, that God promised to David and his children. The true light from God that is in Christ or in whoever else that keeps God's ways.
2Ki 8:19 Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.
...Oops, there it is again "as he promised him to give him always a light, and to his children".
1Ki 11:36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.
... and here it is again! This is why Christ said "I come in my Fathers' name, and ye receive me not".
2Sa 23:1 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and THE MAN WHO WAS RAISED UP ON HIGH, THE ANOINTED OF THE GOD OF JACOB, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said, 2 The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue. 3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, HE THAT RULETH OVER MEN MUST BE JUST, RULING IN THE FEAR OF GOD. 4 AND HE SHALL BE AS THE LIGHT IN THE MORNING when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.
The "rock of Israel" symbolizes the firm ground that the true children of God stand on because they have complete trust in God's ways.
Psa 71:3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
This is also why Christ told the unbelieving Jews " I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me"
David was "the light of Israel" (2Sa 21:17) because he represented the God of Israel since God anointed him as such.
Phl 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in The midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Jam 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Jhn 12:36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
1Th 5:5 YE ARE THE CHILDREN OF LIGHT, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1Jo 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that GOD IS LIGHT and in him is no darkness at all.
2Cr 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2Cr 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God IN THE FACE OF CHRIST.
Jhn 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? HE THAT HAS SEEN ME HAS SEEN THE FATHER; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
That "Light" that comes from God is the glory of God that manifested in Christ.
Jhn 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
What Jesus meant when he said to the unbelieving Jews "Ye have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen his shape", was that they did not have the love of God in them (Jhn 5:42), since they wanted to kill him (Jhn 5:18; Jhn 8:37, 40), therefore, they can not posibly know God because if they knew Him they would recognise Jesus speech and know that the words Jesus spoke were not his own. So when they thought that Christ was making himself to be God, they acused him falsley. This is why he said to them in (John 5:38) "And ye have not HIS WORD abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not."
Jhn 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Jhn 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. 44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? 45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
Jhn 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and THE WORD WHICH YE HEAR IS NOT MINE, but the Father's which sent me.
Pro 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
This great knowledge that Jesus had can only be received from the Father in heaven. Many read the scriptures daily, but few have understanding. For if these Jews were guided by the spirit of God they would have recognised God's image and likeness in Christs' character and in his speech. This is why Jesus told them "Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape".
Jhn 6:46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
Only those who are born again in the spirit, that have received their anointing from the Father who is in heaven (as King David did), can see God and recognise the light that was in Christ.
Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
By their fruit ye shall know them!
THE TRUE CHILDREN OF GOD
Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, IN THE SPIRIT, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Those who are of God can recognise the spirit in Christ, and if they recognise the spirit that was in Christ through Christs teachings, and have kept the words of the prophets that prophecied of his coming, then they have seen God also. The don't see Christ as God either. The "anointed ones by God" can not be the Anointer.
God is invisible, but the spirit that proceeds from God is manifest in the character of those who do His will, who are born of His spirit (from above) and not of the flesh. This is why Jesus said in (Jhn 8:42) .... "If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I PROCEEDED FORTH AND CAME FROM GOD (from above); neither came I of myself, but he sent me."
Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Isa 58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
God rewards the righteous ones with His glory. God did not say that He will give His glory to others (Isa 42:5-8; Isa 48:11), but that His glory is manifested in those who receive the light that proceeds from Him. The glory of the LORD is risen upon us, and this is what makes us shine as lights in the world.
Isa 60:1 "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee."
Only those who recognise the spirit of God in Christ (2Cr 5:19) have seen the Father, because they have become just like him, as God had intended from the beginning. In His image and likeness, meaning holy, pure, undefiled, with a clear conscience.
Jhn 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
..."that day" is the day God puts a new spirit in you, the day God has begotten you as His, in His own image and likeness. That same image that represented the true character of God, as it was in Christ.
1Jo 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
... On the day of your anointing, you will recognise that Christ represented the true image of God, because you will become just like him, and only "at that day" you will SEE HIM AS HE IS, the "anointed one from above." This eye opening event can only be experienced in those who are "born again from above". Not from the will of the flesh, but through the spirit of God, this is why "the world can not see him", because they can not recognise his appearing in them as you will on that glorious day when you will become a true child of God.
1Cr 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
THE CHILDREN OF THE DECEIVER
Act 3:13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. 14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; 15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
... because they chose to spare Barabbas, a thief (Jhn 18:40) and a murderer (Luke 23:25), who represented their own image and likeness.
This is why Jesus told them...
Jhn 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Those that make Jesus their creator have not seen the Father either, because when the point (John 8:24) where Jesus said "for if ye believe not THAT I AM HE, ye shall die in your sins", and also to (Jhn 14:9) where Jesus says "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father", and use them to prove that Jesus is God the Father, then they too are deceived to believe in lies. Instead of recognizing that the spirit of God was in Christ, they see Christ as God in the flesh. Indeed, they do have eyes and ears but they are blind and deaf when it comes to recognising the spirit of God in Christ, as it is written in (2Cr 5:19) "God was in Christ".
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Rom 1:22-23 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
Jhn 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them YE THINK ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
